چکیده

Background: Pelvi Ureteric Junction Obstruction (PUJO) is defined as an obstruction to the free flow of urine from renal pelvis proximal ureter1. It most common cause obstructive uropathy in paediatric age group. Aims: To check for improvement function following Anderson Hynes pyeloplasty congenital PUJ and find out at what should a child be operated best functions. Material Methods: A total 20 patients undergoing Pyeloplasty were included after they satisfied inclusion exclusion criteria. Results: In this study it was observed that post pyeloplasty, 60% children showed functions, 30% there no change while 10% deterioration requiring re-operation. The statistically significant Mean eGFR cases improved 32.25 38.5 mL/min/1.73 m2 pyeloplasty. functions 29.05% 33.7% No complications reported 85% UTI developed 2 (10%) pyonephrosis seen 1 case (5%). Conclusion: effective treatment pediatric population. earlier we operate better function.

Pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction in children.

Hydronephrosis secondary to pelvi-ureteric obstruction affecting one hundred children and derived from a 13 year period were reviewed. Particular attention was paid to symptomatology in infancy and childhood, pre-operative investigations and postoperative assessment. Following pyeloplasty the late results assessed clinically, radiologically and renographically were entirely satisfactory. The op...

Pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction

Pelvi-ureteric junction (PUJ) obstruction is defined as a partial or total blockage to urinary outflow from the renal pelvis into the proximal ureter causing dilatation of the collecting system and potentially progressive renal damage, if left untreated [1]. The PUJ obstruction is the most common site of obstruction in the upper urinary tract of children. Before the advent of ultrasonography, t...

Surgical Results of Anderson-Hynes Dismembered Pyeloplasty Without Internal Drainage in Adults With Ureteroplevic Junction Obstruction

BACKGROUND Anderson-Hynes dismembered pyeloplasty is the gold standard therapeutic approach to ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO). Use of a drainage method to protect the suture line from leakage is a matter of controversy. OBJECTIVES We have compared the surgical outcome of Anderson-Hynes dismembered pyeloplasty for UPJO repair, with or without internal stenting. PATIENTS AND METHOD...

What is the real number of complications, including those in the long-term? What is the function of the operated kidney? The aims of this study are to assess the effectiveness of pyeloplasty and to assess ...
